Coaching the Coaches

Program Overview:

  • One on One
  • In person or On-line
  • 60 min sessions
  • Same time each week for consistency
This is a structured 12-week Coach the Coaches program incorporating neuroscience, mental health, communication, support, a winning attitude, managing expectations, creating sustainable processes, a supportive coaching mindset, sleep cycles, diet, and breathing.
Goal: To develop high-impact coaches who integrate neuroscience, mental health awareness, effective communication, sustainable coaching strategies, and performance optimization through sleep, diet, and breathing.
 
Phase 1: Foundations of Elite Coaching (Weeks 1-3)

• The impact of stress and emotions on decision-making
• Creating a coaching environment that fosters growth and resilience
• Practical application: Self-reflection exercises to assess coaching mindset
 
Week 2: Mental Health in Coaching & Emotional Resilience
• Recognizing anxiety, stress, and burnout in athletes and coaches
• Techniques for building emotional resilience and self-regulation
• The role of mindfulness in mental health and performance
• Practical application: Mental resilience training and mindfulness techniques
 
Week 3: Managing Expectations & Sustainable Coaching Practices
• Setting realistic goals for both athletes and coaches
• The balance between pushing limits and preventing burnout
• Developing long-term, sustainable coaching strategies
• Practical application: Creating a coaching philosophy that integrates sustainability
 
Phase 2: Communication & Leadership Excellence (Weeks 4-6)
Week 4: Mastering Communication & Building Rapport

• Active listening and non-verbal communication techniques
• Building trust and rapport with athletes
• Practical application: Role-playing difficult coaching conversations
 
Week 5: Conflict Resolution & Difficult Conversations

Week 6: The Supportive Coaching Mindset
• The difference between authoritative vs. supportive coaching
• How to create a psychologically safe coaching environment
• The role of mentorship and peer support for athletes
• Practical application: Implementing a support system within the coaching framework
 
Phase 3: Optimising Performance & Winning Attitude (Weeks 7-9)
Week 7: The Science of a Winning Attitude
• The mindset of elite performers and how to instil it in athletes
• Overcoming self-doubt and limiting beliefs through neuroscience
• Creating high-performance habits for athletes and coaches
• Practical application: Visualization and mindset conditioning exercises
 
Week 8: Sleep Cycles & Recovery for Peak Performance

• How sleep cycles affect learning, memory, and reaction times
• Strategies for improving sleep hygiene for athletes and coaches
• Practical application: Sleep tracking and routine optimization
 
Week 9: Nutrition & Breathing Techniques for Performance

Phase 4: Mastery & Sustainable Success (Weeks 10-12)

By the end of the 12 weeks, coaches will have:
